GTNP – JH Nordic Web Cam Views

Even thought GTNP’s Teton Park Road is no longer groomed this season, there’s still plenty of snow between Taggart trailhead, Jenny Lake and on to Signal Mountain for some superb non-groomed skiing and stunning views of the highest peak in the Teton Range.

Check out the view, weather, and snow conditionss before driving to the Taggart trailhead via the web cam on the JHNordic.com home page. The camera looks north of Taggart with a view from Teewinot to Mt Owen, The Grand and Nez Perce, plus a great look at current Teton park road snow conditions. The image refreshes every 15 minutes. Watch the sunrise, sunset, skiers and walkers move by, and storms and clouds blow in.

Help Determine Parks & Rec Grooming Schedules!

Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Winter Operations team needs your input  to determine if Parks & Rec will groom more often next winter, and connect pathways with snow covered pack & rolled surfaces.

Imagine daily grooming on fave trails like Emily’s Pond, Cache, Game, Stilson, plus grooming on many bike paths ( vs current plowing), e.g.  connecting Wilson to R Park, then to Emily’s ( and more), this is our opportunity to give input to Parks & Rec. With our input, they can possibly get a much needed new pisten bully, too!

Ski with a Friend!
Today would be a perfect day to call a friend and go for a Nordic ski!  In fact with bluebird conditions, calm winds, and temps into the 20’s, it would be a perfect day for anyone to go for a Nordic ski.

Today’s Husky grooming covered pretty much every trail with at least a single skate/classic pass and multiple passes on most of the sunny field trails.  Since the conclusion of yesterday’s grooming a short inch of snow has fallen which helped to smooth things out today.  Yesterday’s warm temps did leave things a bit crunchy this morning and while a few spots came up a little chopped up behind the Husky today, all in all conditions are pretty good.

Today is the final day of racing at the Junior Nordic Nationals in Fairbanks, AK.  Today’s venue is mass start freestyle which should make for some great watching on the livestream.  Be sure to check it out, go JHSC skiers!

Groomer’s choice for today is Armin’s.

Since it looks like the snow is never going away, come get some new ski gear to get through the next round of winter! We still have most sizes available in everything in the shop including: skate skis, classic skis, bc touring skis, boots, poles, gloves, jackets, pants, and hats.

Closing day for the shop is Sunday March 19 (which happens to be Cody’s 50th birthday!) We are planning to groom until the 26th—conditions permitting. Due to Golf Operations beginning their spring work immediately after closing the nordic facilities, the course is closed beginning March 31.

The last day to drop off skis for waxing is Wednesday March 15. The last day for lessons is Saturday March 18.

We are open daily to the public for skiing. Click here for our current trails grooming and conditions: https://nordic-pulse.com/ski-areas/US/WY/Teton-Pines-Nordic-Center.
