Winter Conditions
While all of this snow has been great for recreation it is making for challenging driving conditions. Please be cautious heading to and from the trailhead. Give yourself extra time to get where you’re going and make sure you’ve got a winter kit in your car in case of an emergency.

Back in Time
You could have been forgiven for thinking that the season was nearing its end over the weekend, with near-slushy conditions and rock-hard trails, but in just a day or two, we’ve seemingly gone back in time, returning to the depths of January, with deep, fluffy snow, cool temperatures, and brilliant skiing. What a day!
Today’s grooming was a universal regrooming of the trails, with double passes on almost everything, including all the fields, Woolsey Woods, Moose Loop, Animal Farm, Mugs Meadows, and Déjà Vu. The Nordic X course was also worked on for the first time in a week, and while the groomer’s blade-managing skills are still a work in progress, things are starting to look a bit more skiable. Thanks to a hefty injection of fresh powder, the grooming may be the best of the year, and there’s never been a better time to come check out Trail Creek!
Groomer’s choice is Woolsey Woods.
