Advocating for Accessibility

If you live in the Tetons, are an advocate for accessibility in recreation, and/or hit the mountain bike trails a lot, you probably know Joe Stone! A key member in our community, and recently promoted as the Executive Director of Teton Adaptive Sports , Joe Stone is a force for progress in the Teton Valley.

We asked Joe how JHNordic.com can improve our website. He said: “one thing that would be great is adding in some photos of the trailheads: where the accessible parking is versus where the trailhead is and that sort of thing.” This suggestion we are taking very seriously so we can better our accessibility to the entire community.

Betty Woolsey Classic Race 10 AM!
Registration does close at 9 AM sharp, but there’s still time to grab your skis and kick wax, and come on out for a great race today.  This race commemorates one of the legends of Trail Creek, Betty Woolsey.  You can read all about her on her JHSC Hall of Fame page.

The course was set last night with pretty much benign conditions since.  Waxing could be a bit challenging today, as of 7:45 AM the temp is 29ºF which could be right around freezing at start time, but then again, that just makes for more fun racing.  Come on out today and enjoy this great Trail Creek tradition!

The school fields will not be groomed today because of heavy rain in the valley. This is to conserve fuel and to conserve the shallow base for the track.

The levee is groomed and in ok shape, spring like conditions. I am currently grooming stilson and should be done around 9. The school fields will be done around 10:30.
