Betty Woolsey Classic Race 10 AM!
Registration does close at 9 AM sharp, but there’s still time to grab your skis and kick wax, and come on out for a great race today.  This race commemorates one of the legends of Trail Creek, Betty Woolsey.  You can read all about her on her JHSC Hall of Fame page.

The course was set last night with pretty much benign conditions since.  Waxing could be a bit challenging today, as of 7:45 AM the temp is 29ºF which could be right around freezing at start time, but then again, that just makes for more fun racing.  Come on out today and enjoy this great Trail Creek tradition!

It was another warm one at TMR, the lowest temp I saw during the early morning groom was 32* and it has been climbing ever since. We had a surprise 3 inches that fell Christmas night and the pisten bully smoothed everything out to perfection. The snow is fairly soft and sticky, it feels like April.
There were multiple critter sightings during the morning groom (wolves and moose), please be alert while skiing and make sure your dogs have good recall if they are off leash.

The single track was groomed early morning December 26 and really hasn’t had too much of a chance to set up due to the warm temps. Please keep tire pressure low and make good decisions out there.

Turpin Meadow Ranch is open to all for skiing, lodging, dining, Nordic lessons, and tours! Ours is a short season so be sure to plan a visit this winter between now and March 13, 2022. Call the office (307) 543-2000 or visit our website to book your adventure and/or meal!

Please support TVTAP winter trail grooming on your favorite TV winter trails by purchasing a TVTAP Trail sticker  Please remember to manage your dogs and respect dog and wildlife closures. Buy a dog trail sticker, too!

Temperatures are expected to warm up today into the high 30’s.

We will see scattered thunderstorms throughout the afternoon due to milder air arriving from the Pacific. We are expecting a larger, colder system to arrive tomorrow evening bringing fresh snow.

Remember, singletracks will be closed when there is more than 3 inches of snow in a 24 hour period.

Merry Christmas! I was able to groom this morning, but with the soft snow and warm temperatures, the Ginzu was the wrong tool. I used the roller and reset the skate track on campground and yetis loop. I left the classic track alone on yetis as it was the best I could do. Enjoy the glide.

No dogs December 1 – April 15.

Made three laps this morning. Set the classic track on the first lap with the ginzu and it came out pretty nice. On the second lap the ginzu started getting packed with snow and I had to stop several times to clean it out; watch out for a few bumps in the skate lane. Third lap with the roller came out OK! Have a Merry Christmas!
