Moose Chase Fun!

Moose, half moose, mini moose, itty bitty moose! Skiers from 2 to 75+ enjoyed a cold sunny day of racing on the gorgeous Trail Creek Nordic trails Saturday. Hot dogs and chili dogs grilled up by Frank himself (of FRX) hit the spot post-race. Shout out to Skinny Skis and the JHSC for putting on this community race for all the Nordic fans, racing their first or 50th race. Moose, half moose, mini moose, itty bitty moose! Did you Know?

According to the BTNF Winter Nordic Ambassadors, almost 2000 people have visited Cache, Nelson, Game and Trail Creek trails already this winter. And 1000 dogs have walked and played with their humans enjoying the snowy landscapes. We appreciate that 80% of those dogs have been appropriately leashed at these popular destinations, which are also important wildlife habitat. To support wildlife as winter continues, we’d love your help in moving this number closer to 100%. Thanks!

BTNF Forest Plan – Get Engaged

In collaboration with Friends of the Bridger-Teton, the BTNF held a Forest Plan Symposium with leading experts who shared their perspectives on effective engagement, the overall importance of forest planning and how communities might bridge diverse interests to create a sustainable future. The symposium recording, summary of panel remarks, responses to audience questions, and a link to sign up for Forest Plan Revision emails are all available on the Bridger-Teton Forest Plan Hub. The BTNF is home to many favorite winter trails and we encourage individuals to engage in the forest planning process.
