If you just finished a spectacular day of Nordic skiing, Fat Biking or snowshoeing, then you are in need of a great spot to relax, catch up with friends, and grab a bite to eat. Apres ski is a French term that means “after ski” or “after skiing.” In other words, you can make apres ski fit whatever you’re craving at the moment, whether it’s a burger, taco, hot chocolate, beer, or cocktail. We are happy to provide our highest recommendation on the Best Apres Ski Spots on the Westbank of Jackson Hole below.

Rations at Basecamp
This is a “…modern spin on a classic gas station.” Basecamp in Wilson offersa basically anything you need for apres ski —a tank of gas for your next drive, a bottle of wine, snacks, gourmet groceries, craft beers, and a grab-and-go restaurant called “Rations” for some warm hearty food. Enjoy some:
- BBQ Wings
- Burgers
- Salads
- Ribs
- Fries
- Schnitzel
Plus, Basecamp has some creative sloshies to choose from: If you’ve never heard of a sloshie, then we’re about to change how you apres ski. A sloshie is like a classic slushie but infused with alcohol and great flavors — Whiskey Ginger Lemonade, Grapefruit, Lavender, Spicy Cucumber Mojito, and numerous margarita-inspired flavors. Want to know the best part? You can take a sloshie to-go because it comes with the tamper-evident tape. Check out their website for restaurant hours, merchandise, and food selections.
Pearl Street Bagels
Although Pearl Street Bagels in Wilson isn’t a dinner option, it has a great selection of homemade bagels, sandwiches, snacks, coffee, and other warm beverages if you finish skiing early. Try their smoked salmon cream cheese if you want something tasty and savory. If you’re craving something warm, they offer a great chai latte or homemade soup. If you’re going to try a frozen favorite, order the “wild tribe” frozen mocha. Plus, Pearl Street Bagels has another location in downtown Jackson if you love it enough to try it again.
Persephone Westbank
There’s a reason why the famous Jackson Hole bakery Persephone, expanded from its original location near the town square to a second location on the Westbank—it’s absolutely fantastic. Everything from the ambiance to the creative menu gives us a reason to go back time and time again.
As a renowned bakery, their pastries and specialty lattes are the perfect options when you need something quick and easy. If you stop by, make sure to order the following:
Salmon & Avocado Bowl – Poached egg, cucumber & tomato salad, lentils, pickled onion, parmesan, dukkah, brioche crisp
Croque Madame – Sunny egg, gruyere, ham, mornay sauce, levain, side roasted tomato jam
Grilled Cheese – Cambozola, apple, whole grain mustard on levain
Caprese – Heirloom tomato, mozzarella, kale pesto, caramelized onion, arugula, balsamic glaze, on baguette
Persephone Westbank doesn’t stay open late, so this is a great apres ski option when you finish early on the slopes. Because they’re open early, you may be able to stop in before AND after you ski.
Mangy Moose
A ski trip to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort isn’t complete without a stop at the Mangy Moose in the heart of Teton Village. This rustic tavern and restaurant is always a crowd-pleaser with plenty of seating, live music in the evenings, and high-paced energy. They offer a lunch and apres menu as well as a separate steakhouse dinner menu. Our top picks:
- Local craft beers
- Elk Pepperoni and Mushroom Flatbread
- Parmesan Truffle Fries
- Brussel Sprouts
- Spicy Elk Brats
- Bison Burger
- House-Smoked Wyoming Beef Prime Rib
The Handle Bar
This restaurant and bar is located at the Four Seasons Resort and borders the ski resort runs—making it an easy place to ski when your aching toes need a break from those ski boots. The Handle Bar offers a great happy hour, cozy outdoor seating by a fire pit, and plenty of tasty cocktails. Even if you choose to sit inside, you’ll enjoy a great view of the ski resort—and, most importantly, the awe-inspiring views of the Tetons.
Try their signature dish: The Handle Burger, which comes with fries, caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, white cheddar, and truffle aioli. If you want to add a drink to your meal, order one of their specialty whiskey cocktails.
The Bistro at the Alpenhof
Another top spot for apres skiing is an experience at the Alpenhof in Teton Village. We call this “an experience” because it is a one-of-a-kind Swiss-style ski lodge. “Alpenhof” means “mountain residence.” Its large wooden beams, cozy nooks, and warm fireplace make you want to stay there all winter. This historic lodge offers excellent food and beverage options for your apres needs. Try traditional Bavarian plates, a gruyere fondue, schnitzel, pheasant, or their fabulous Wyoming Wagyu New York Strip. Don’t forget to sample a beer or two—it’s the perfect place!
The Bodega
Our last recommendation on the Westbank is the Bodega—a local favorite with groceries, butcher meats, gourmet cheese, a unique wine selection, spirits, craft beer, and grab-and-go food. Why should you go there for apres ski? Because they have some top-notch sloshies to keep, you feeling extra great after a fantastic day on the slopes.
