Join the Community of Winter Trails Enthusiasts
There are many ways to be part of the Nordic Alliance.
Ski by and say hi!
A genuine quiet hello on the trail as you pass a another user helps welcome someone who may be new, brings a smile to someone who didn't expect it, and is unobtrusive to the trail user in the zone of their own workout.
Sign up for the Daily Trail Report
Whether you want an email every day, just Saturdays, or only on the days you ski, the daily trail report is a five minute morning read that keeps you in the loop for current conditions, the weather forecast, upcoming events and races, and assorted winter trails tips and inspiration. You can subscribe from the footer or the home page.
Share a trail report or a photo
We are a crowdsourced resource! Sharing pictures and conditions updates, or an idea for a new trail to map helps to connect people to opportunities to get outside and play on winter trails. Email [email protected] with input, questions or feedback on trails.
Post a winter trails event on the community calendar
If you host or participate in a winter trails event in the greater Teton region and you do not see it on the calendar, let us know! Email [email protected] with details and ideally a graphic (and we can track down the organizers too if you just want to alert us).

Join the volunteer team at the fun free ski, bike, and snowshoe day
With our amazing partners and their various fleets of gear, we host between 500 and 600 people at Turpin Meadow Ranch for a free day of celebrating community, recreation and public lands. And we could not do it without volunteers! Shifts are a couple of hours, leaving you plenty of time to get in your own ski or fat bike and visit the partner booths to say hi and learn more about all of the amazing organizations who help build and shepherd our winter trails ecosystem. Save the date for January 11, 2026 and email [email protected] with "I'd like to help" in the subject line.
Share your enthusiasm, expertise and time as a board member
The JH Nordic Alliance started as a collaboration of enthusiasts. We have since become a 501c3. We are still small, and get a lot done with contract staff and volunteers, including our board members, who are active in body as well as brain. Reach out to [email protected] if you interested in learning more.

Help get more people on Nordic skis and support self-powered winter trail recreation. Your contribution supports content curation and creation, the grooming platform that shares real-time conditions for every groomed track in the Tetons, operating the website, roving Nordic ambassadors, a small borrow closet, responsible recreation education...and getting more people out on winter trails because Nordic skiing—and snowshoeing and biking and walking—is good for us! And healthy happy people ripple out into so many other good things.
