Teton Village Association sponsored, multi-use groomed winter trail from the heart of Teton Village north to the end of the bike path (just south of the Grand Teton National Park south entrance) and south to the Lake Creek bridge along Hwy 390 (the Moose-Wilson road). The trail is open to nordic skiers, fat bikers, runners, walkers, dogs on leash.
This trail connects with the Community pathway at Lake Creek Bridge south to Stilson, allowing connectivity to Wilson and the town of Jackson via plowed pathways. Grooming is planned for 3 days/week. Stay tuned for which days via jhnordic.com/grooming/ and our Daily Trail Reports (via email and blog.JHNordic.com).
Start in Teton Village anywhere along the bike path trail on the south side of McCollister Drive -begining at the corner of Rachel Way, Cody Lane and McCollister drive - or east of the main tram parking lot. Head east toward Hwy 309 (Moose Wilson road, and choose your direction -north runs for approx 1 mile, south goes for 2.5 miles (or longer once you pass the Lake Creek Bridge). Look for elk in the woods on both sides of the highway in this stretch south. Also note that this southern section can be quite windy as the terrain is wide open as it cross the open Snake River Ranch (know as the "windy mile").
