Nordic and Summer Ambassadors Needed
Want to help keep visitors and wildlife safe this winter?
Become a Nordic Ambassador on the U.S. Forest Service Bridger-Teton National Forest! The BTNF is actively recruiting Nordic Ambassadors for the 2024-2025 winter season. Ambassadors are Forest Service volunteers who patrol (via foot or ski) the popular winter trails near the community of Jackson. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, able to effectively communicate our winter regulations, and have a positive and professional attitude towards the public. Apply here!
We Got First Tracks!
Introducing Jenny Graham, one of our new daily trail report writers. We knew Jenny was a Nordic fan when we met to talk about writing, but now we see she is a true enthusiast, getting first tracks on the Park road the day it opened for the season. Way to go Jenny and welcome! Jenny lives in Jackson with her family and has worked in content and design for many non-profits and events.
Jenny joins Elee Deschu, also known as Turpin Meadow Ranch’s ski instructor, head groomer and all around snow angel to write the daily trail report. You can reach them at trailconditions@jhnordic.com to share photos, track conditions, trip reports, and events, or make requests for content. Of course we are also happy to hear any appreciations about what you find most valuable from the morning winter trails snapshot delivered to your in box.
The Joy of Sharing Cross Country Skiing
There’s a special kind of magic in witnessing someone’s first strides on cross-country skis, especially when shared across generations. For this family, snowy trails weave a legacy of connection and outdoor joy. Just look at the exuberance on the new skier’s face, it is a testament to the lasting impact of shared adventures on the trails. Who will you smile with outside this weekend?
