Trail Creek

Grooming Daily
Last Update: 2/11

Sunny Sunday!
While the day has started off on the cool side, the temperature is warming nicely, and there is a glorious sun striding across a mostly azure sky today, making for yet another great day to ski at Trail Creek.

Today’s grooming began very early with the Husky striding through the woods trails today.  Pretty much every trail was covered, mostly with a single skate/classic pass except for Olympic and Animal Farm which received double passes.  The fields were then groomed with multiple passes and a fresh classic tracks.  While we’ve been struggling with cold hard snow recently, every day the snow has been improving; all in all, conditions are quite nice today.

Racing continues in McCall, Idaho today with four laps of the above course being the venue.  Already our very own Nate Streubel and Lena Poduska have won their divisions; all the results and information are available on the event website or on Zone 4 Timing.

Groomer’s choice for today is a lap around Skyview Stadium.

Yeti and campground skate and classic set. Skate lane turned out very clean, the classic not quite as well, but at least it should be grippy on the way up. Track should set up well overnight and be waiting for you to rip and tear on Sunday morning!

We groomed the hillbenders and Nemo tonight – should be riding well in the morning.

Groomed with the rabbit to set a classic track and skate lane on all loops. Skate track is a little rough in spots due to an incredibly firm/icey snowpack. Enjoy the glide.

Teton Reserve parking lot works best when you park in the configuration in this image. Please refer to the photo for visual representation. Feel free to be a community member and coach each other on best practices. Park in the red highlights. NO PARKING IN THE GREEN HIGHLIGHTS.
