Trip Report: Shadow Mountain Nordic ski

Five of us headed up to Shadow Mountain for a beautiful day of skiing last weekend.  We broke trail on the upper quarter as no one had been there since the last big snow.  Four of the five of us used skins which was very helpful.  A great time was had by all.  -KD

Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork!

Many thanks to Coach Libby for sending in some awesome Teewinot photos from recent days; most of our Teewinots are already awesome skiers and they regularly take that talent and show older people how to have a good time.  Recent activities in addition to “Teamwork Makes Dreamwork” include diminishing Equipment Relays (left) and Aspen Bump Adventure (center).  Thanks Teewinots and thanks coaches!

You too can have a great adventure today at Trail Creek if you are lucky enough to come out for a ski.  The Husky has been hard at work today, mainly focusing on the Moose Chase course and warm up areas.  Everything beyond Confusion Corner received a single pass with some of the classic tracks being reset where needed.  Trails on the cabin side of Confusion Corner received multiple passes, all with fresh classic tracks.  Conditions are simply lovely today.

Snowfall totals today are moving from an inch to two with snowfall continuing and totals forecast to be as high as four inches.  Four days to Moose Chase, get those registrations in!

Groomer’s choice for today is the Moose Chase course.
