General Weather – blue sky Thursday

Mountain Weather is forecasting a sunny Thursday followed by chances of rain and snow. Skiing is not over! But may be a bit sticky for a couple of days. For a detailed daily forecast check out mountainweather.com.

Grooming Updates

Trail Creek Nordic

Looking ahead,  Thursday morning will mostly be pulling signs with the snow machine. Thursday evening will be a grooming of the courses for the International Spring Series races course inspection day on Friday. Friday morning will be simply a quick pass through the non-race trails in the woods. Race grooming will happen on evenings until Tuesday with a last pass through the non-race course in the woods on Monday morning.

Groomer’s choice for today is to enjoy the beyond cerulean blue skies and corn snow in the fields (with sunscreen).

Shooting Star

Expect balmy & soft trails on Monday, then look for Spring skiing to be in full effect with sunny & warm conditions Tuesday through Thursday. Reminder that trails this time of year may be icy in the morning and soft/slushy in the late afternoons.

Teton Valley – Editor’s note

Groomed tracks and tracks groomed a day or two ago are all skiing well with the warm days smoothing tracks out naturally. Try to rearrange your schedule to ski in the morning as the snow gets sticky quick once it heats up.

Thanks to Teton Nordic Ski School and SheJumps for a very fun last social outing at Mike Harris Tuesday night! Some of these women had been at every clinic this season! One came to get outside while she is waiting for ACL surgery and another was here from New York City and so excited to have found this opportunity to cross-country ski and meet some locals. Fun was had by all.

International Spring Series

Everyday

Morning walks across hard frozen snow are a great way to get out on winter trails. As the day warms up, pay attention and turn towards home before you start leaving big sunken prints.
