Mountain Weather is forecasting lots of sunshine this week and rising temps. For a detailed daily forecast check out mountainweather.com.

By reading a quick sampling of the grooming updates from around Jackson Hole and Teton Valley you’ll find that all of the groomers have been very pleased with the way the trails have been turning out recently – go out and enjoy some sunshine on the local winter trails!

Thanks for a GREAT day!

Reflection is an important step in learning and growth, it helps us to focus on what’s been accomplished and the things that matter. Let’s take a little time to reflect on how awesome the annual JH Nordic Free Ski, Snowshoe, and Fat Bike event was to keep the good times and gratitude at the forefront of our minds. May it encourage us to get with community, get outside, smile, and move some more.

An old French proverb by Jean-Baptiste Massieu says that “gratitude is the memory of the heart,” and goodness do we have a lot to be grateful for! This annual event is what it is because of the community involved, that includes you our readers. A huge thank you to all of the JH Nordic Alliance sponsors and members, we would not have been able to facilitate the merriment without you. Thanks to Turpin Meadow Ranch for hosting. And thank you to all who came up and tried something new, our hope is you made positive lasting memories and that you will continue your human powered outdoor pursuits. If you need any gear, or are craving more lessons and tours, please continue to support our sponsors with your business.

More Fun in the Forecast!

Without a doubt, this was a wonderful weekend to be a resident or visitor in Jackson Hole and Teton Valley, especially if you enjoy, or are curious about, cross country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing, winter trails, and public lands. If you weren’t able to join in the events this weekend don’t fret – there is still more winter, more fun in the forecast, and lots more opportunities to recreate responsibly! Coming up next weekend is the Pinedale STAmpede. While it is a race we were informed that it is a lot like a party too. For example, the winners of the 2.5K and 5K races are based on best costume, this year’s theme is disco. So get out your bell bottoms and sequins and get ready to boogie while supporting the trail system in Sublette County!
