Lots to Talk About!

First off, many thanks to Coach Luna for sending some great images from last weekend’s IMD race in Sun Valley.  It’s always nice to see our skiers on the podium and just out skiing as fast as they can go.  Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend, the only racing on the schedule is a high school race in Pinedale which should have great IMD participation as well as there are no scheduling conflicts.  It’s only a short drive to Pinedale and would be a great road trip to support the team…

Since yesterday’s grooming, about two inches of snow fell which the Ginzu was able to turn into some quite nice skiing conditions.  The first pass was all about classic tracks, setting a new track throughout the trail network.  This was followed with Ginzu skate grooming, making at least one additional pass on most trails with multiple passes in the Close Field, Animal Farm, Moose Loop, and Armin’s.  As the image below shows, things have shaped up nicely.

Finally, this afternoon we are attempting to haul the Husky up to a truck so that it can be transported to a shop.  This will be happening mostly in the late afternoon, so be sure to stay a little ways out of the way and anything you can do to help keep the area on the road by the cabin clear would be appreciated.

Cache Creek Singletrack

Groomed by Friends of Pathways
Grooming Schedule: As Needed

Last Update: 12/12
I smoothed all the trails out in Cache last night so they would be good for the week.  Here are some suggestions for exploring the groomed trails:

Bikers – Go up Hagen Highway and down lower Ferrins, both the Lloyd’s Cut and Sink or Swim connectors are groomed for a shorter or longer loop option.
Hikers – Check out the Sidewalk trail near the trailhead, I am trying to keep the first 3 entrances groomed for short dog walking loops.
Skiers – Explore off of the Cache Road over to Hagen, all of the connectors at bridges 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are groomed.
