Important Nordic Notes from our partners!

Betty Woolsey Classic is now freestyle. Due to the current snow conditions, this year’s 10K course will be four laps in the Close Field. Because of the lack of snow, the event will be freestyle this year.

There is still time to register! Registration will close at 5pm MT at this link.

Course Inspection Day! We’re on the cusp of an epic weekend of racing at Trail Creek. Throughout yesterday, teams from all around the region arrrived to inspect the course for the three days of racing ahead. While a couple of extra feet of snow would definitely have been appreciated, a huge number of staff and volunteers have been working hard to make the snow that we do have work really hard and provide us with what we need to have a great racing weekend; thanks to all that have helped.

Trip Report – Murie Ranch

by Nancy Leon

The Murie Ranch is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the heart of Grand Teton National Park, a mile south of the Visitor Center. The annual Mardy Murie Cookie Swap, hosted by Teton Science Schools, celebrates Mardy’s famous “cry baby” molasses cookies, and her infamous approach to protecting wilderness by convening on her front porch with tea and cookies. The Muries helped to draft the Wilderness Act of 1964 at their ranch in Moose. The day was a wonderful family gathering for all ages, with some XC skiing and snowshoeing out to the Snake River.
