Trail Report: Emma Matilda Lake
Here’s a couple pictures from today. A spectacular day! Thanks to Lisa F. for sharing these photos.
Two Oceans Lake and Emma Matilda Lakes are 2 mid-sized glacial lakes set in the north-eastern part of Grand Teton National Park, and offer a variety of trails – from a short simple 3 mile out-and-back to Two Oceans, to a full loop around one or both, adding gentle hills up and over the moraines and around the lakes.
Turpin Meadows Trail Report
Kathy, Sami and I (with respective partners!) travel to Turpin to enjoy an overnight together each year –Saturday’s “storm skiing” on their trails was awesome!

A Few More Good Shots!
There were so many great moments in last Saturday’s Nordic Carnival that we just had to post a few more. From the multi-generational start to the finish line and even to the moments of raging blizzard, the day was a memorable first run of the JHSC Nordic Carnival.
While you might be a bit late to get a first run today at Trail Creek, you can still find lots of great skiing if you make it out today. As of 12:45 PM the winds are calm with light snowfall and a temperature of -5ºC/23ºF. Today’s Pisten Bully grooming hit pretty much every trail twice except for Homeward and Outward Bound, with the first pass placing a classic track and the second being skate only.
Conditions have firmed nicely and pretty much wherever you go you’ll find nothing but joy.

Another dusting of snow overnight and into this morning. It is the type of snow that makes the groomer very happy, because it lays such beautiful well defined corduroy. It looks as though the sun will be out this afternoon and if the forecast is correct, we can expect to see more of it tomorrow. Come enjoy the trails while the sun is out.

Snow, snow and more snow! Trails continue to groom our nicely each morning, but may likely become snow covered or drifty during the day as more snowy and windy weather is forecasted to last through Saturday. Calmer and sunnier conditions are expected to return this Sunday and remain through Wednesday. Enjoy the powder and stay safe!

Season Passes are available to non members for $100, passes can be picked up in the admin office at JHGTC M-F 9am-5pm or by calling 307.733.7787.
We purchased a new groomer 2 years ago so we do now have a set cross country track with enough room for skate skiers and/or fat bikes next to the set track.
There are no other services available (ie. No lunch) though dinner is offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 5:30pm; Clubhouse amenities are reserved for members only.
We groom the track on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

Fat Bike 1/30: Lower and upper Kelly Park single track have been groomed as of today. A good base is in place but remember with warmer temperatures adjust tire pressure accordingly to reduce chances of breaking through. Looks like a great weekend to get out and enjoy the wonderful Pinedale outdoors!
