Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club Nordic Track

The Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club operates a groomed track for members, as well as sells a season pass for $100. Arm bands are available at the Clubhouse during the week 9am-4pm. This is a fun and convenient groomed ski trail for those living north of Jackson and in Kelly, with wide open views of the Tetons.
The trail is comprised of two loops, and is groomed in 2016 by a flat roller (no classic track channels). We enjoyed testing the track on classic skis and most of the track is flat and wide and smooth enough to work well for skate skis.
The trail begins from the north side of the Club House, which is accessed via walkway near the Club entrance or from a small side trail at the north end of the parking lot.
The trail is well marked for its full distance by wooden red topped stakes, making it easy to follow the trail, even in case of snow.
The trail to the left (west) heads toward the Tetons with striking views of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, The Hobacks, Rendezvous Peak, and southern and central Tetons. This section of trail is an “out-and-back” with a small circle at the end, and covers the back-nine of the golf course.
The trail to the right covers the front-nine of the golf course, and makes a wide “M” shaped loop through cottonwoods, aspens, and surrounding homes. We chose to follow this trail counter-clockwise, thus taking the first right, which leads across Spring Gulch Road for a short stretch. Once having crossed the road, the trail turns left and follows the summer bike/golf cart path east, approximately 400 yards, then turns left to cross the road again. This takes you back to the main section of the golf course to the north. Take care crossing the road.
The trail now begins the “M” shaped loop, heading north, then with a short curve back south before continuing north to the final curve. We had the fun of spotting a female moose on the western boundary under some cottonwoods, bedded down, watching us ski by.
The red-topped trail markers make it easy to find your way, and the trail is pleasantly flat all the way – perfect for a scenic, gentle cross country outing.
While the cross country ski track is open 7 days/week, the Clubhouse is closed on weekends, and is only available to members mid week.
