Crust, Courtesy, and Good Stewardship

As we head into spring here are a few things to keep in mind on winter trails.
Crust and mud: There’s a good chance the temperatures and conditions in the next couple of weeks bring opportunities for crust cruising. If you’re recreating in a place where mud is present, it’s best to be there when the mud is frozen. If you’re walking/skiing/riding and leaving tracks in the mud, it’s likely too soft and you may damage the trail.
Snow: Do what you can to help preserve the snow because, well, there isn’t very much and we all want to keep skiing!
Fun! Positive experiences on winter trails is what we’re all hoping and working towards when we’re out recreating. Remember to approach other users with kindness. Say ‘hello’! Ask questions. Make a new friend. And enjoy your time out on the trails!
