Local Dog Friendly Trails
Curious which trails in the area are great for you and your pooch? Some great local options include:
-Cache Creek-Game Creek
-Emily’s Pond
-Wilson Centennial
-Teton Village Pathway (even in GTNP – Taggart to Jenny Lake to Signal Mountain Trail is dog-friendly as long as your dog is on leash on the groomed road)
-Bridger-Teton National forest trails
To find even more (in Teton Valley or on many of the Bridger-Teton National forest trails), it’s easy to search on the JHNordic.com/trails/ web page, by clicking on the “dog” icon, then hit “search”. A full list of approximately 40 trails will be displayed. You can filter your search further by region, distance from Jackson, length of trail, and more.
We love our dogs in JH and TV. There are so many great choices out there, but remember to respect local leash laws and pick up after your pup!

Oh Boy…?!
Coach Kathy has lots of opportunities for some awesome shots when she is out and about with her Lollipoppers and yesterday was no exception with this classic shot of one of our little skiers poised on the brink of Gutflop. The grooming department is happy to report no residue at the bottom of Gutflop this morning so apparently the descent went off flawlessly. Thanks Coach Kathy and way to go Lollipoppers!
You probably won’t find any Lollipoppers today at Trail Creek, not to mention Teewinots, Juniors, Devos, Prep, or Comp skiers. While the younger crowd skies the first half of the week, the rest are off to Soldier Hollow for the final Junior National Qualifier of the season. Click on the image below and you will be taken to the website with all the information about the event. It should be some exciting racing as we have a great group looking at making it to the Junior National Championships at Donner Summit, California. Go racers!
Today at Trail Creek in addition to potential solitude you’ll find lots of good skiing. Conditions as of 11 AM are sunny and pretty warm at -2ºC/28ºF. However, there is a pretty stiff breeze blowing that is moving some snow around in the fields. Most trails received Pisten Bully best line skate grooming and the classic tracks were mostly reset in the fields as well although the tracks were disappearing rapidly. Trails in the woods are really nice.
One new thing you might notice today, the Seiffert Family who graciously allow us to ski on their property in sections like Moose Loop and Armin’s are coming to their cabin this weekend. In anticipation the access trail for their snowmobile was set today which you would be welcome to ski today. If you see the any of the Seiffert’s over the next week, be sure to wave and say thanks.
Groomer’s choice today would be to ski in the less windy woods.

After yet another layer of snow over night, the trails are in pristine condition, though maybe a hair on the soft side. It’d be a beautiful day for a skate ski or cross country, especially with the Tetons out in their full glory. So come on up and enjoy the view with us! Stay classy, Jackson Hole.

The Nordic track is in great shape! Look for cold and calm conditions through Thursday followed by another round of snowy wintery weather over the weekend. As always, trails may become drifty after our morning grooming if the next weather system brings high winds. Enjoy all the new snow!

There are no other services available (ie. No lunch) though dinner is offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 5:30pm; Clubhouse amenities are reserved for members only.
We groom the track on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

Let’s all take a moment to appreciate how much snow can bring us together. Whether it’s skiing fresh pow, or just ripping it up on the groomers, there’s no bad days when we’re skiing with our loved ones. The snow holds a foundation for our favorite recreational activity in the most beautiful place. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, don’t forget to bring up your loved ones to Targhee and share your passion for snow with them!
