Today is the DAY! Join us at Turpin bright and early at 10 am. It takes about 1 hour drive from the town of Jackson so be sure to leave with enough time so you can enjoy all of the offerings (there are MANY). Enjoy the beautiful drive along the base of the Tetons, carpool with friends/family, and make it a date full of winter trail fun, there is something for everyone! Never recreated on a winter trail? No problem, this is the best place and time to try it out! Are you a seasoned winter trail enthusiast? Great, come celebrate in the festival like atmosphere with the most wonderful community around and try out some nice gear while you’re at it! Are you somewhere in between? That is so fine and this is going to be so much fun!
Turpin Meadow Ranch is truly a magical winter wonderland, blanketed in fresh snow. As of this writing (I, your author, live in Moran) the snow has tapered off and the Buffalo Valley Road (the last 10 miles to the ranch) has been freshly plowed and graded. The latest forecast for Moran is showing the sun peeking out during the event, with cooler temps (bring layers!) and calm winds. There is plenty of snow on all of the trails and the day is going to be great, we can’t wait to see you up at Turpin!
May the images inspire you to come join in the fun – there is going to be SO much of it! Access to the Turpin trails are free for the day, come try out demo skis and fat bikes, there will be snowshoe tours AND snowshoe yoga! Meet many of the JH Nordic Alliance partners and eat some delicious ranch fare. Feeling lucky? There is also a raffle with great prizes, bring your credit card to buy some tickets at the event.
