Winter Reboot!
Furry friends and a little fresh snow are a great combination. We hope you all were able to get out Wednesday, and again today! Winter has been capricious, which maybe can teach us a thing or two about our own spontaneity.

General Weather – rain, snow, wind
After a strong cold snap, nighttime temps in the valleys are predicted to be at or above freezing as we move towards the weekend. Several inches of snow are predicted above 9000 feet. See the full Mountain Weather forecast.

Trail Creek
Looking ahead, the National Weather Service is calling for a fair amount of precipitation over the next couple of days; the uncertain element is whether it will come as rain or snow. Next week definitely looks challenging with Wunderground calling for 65º in Wilson on Wednesday with temps near that for much of next week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center is calling for much above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation in the 8-14 day forecast.

Hot Feet!
Sometimes called ‘pickups’ because you pick up the pace, shift into high tempo mode for short bursts, like 10 skates/strides, before returning to more relaxed skiing.
The intensity trains us to build up and tap reserve power for when we need it.

WYDAHO Season Finale – Cancelled
As sure as we all were that mid-March was a great time to hold the season finale, Mother Nature had other plans.
The groomer is still grooming at Trail Creek though! And while there will likely be good skiing this weekend, there will not be a season finale to the WYDAHO Nordic Race Series.
