Did you too see it, drifting, all night, on the black river?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air – An armful of white blossoms.

Groomer Notes
Trail Creek Nordic
Grooming has concluded with the end of the spring series raaces but the tracks will still ski well, especially in the forest.
Shooting Star
The final week for Nordic skiing is here. Trail coverage is still strong, and we hope to keep all trails open through our last day this Sunday, April 6th. Weather looks good with colder weather and off/on snow showers through Thursday. Enjoy! Next update will be Friday, April 4th.
Teton Canyon
From Wednesday: Again, a bit of new snow and favorable temperature should allow both skate and classic tracks to groom out well this morning. Snow is holding well in the canyon.
Trail of the day: Hunter Ranch
This six-mile loop is ideal for skiers looking for a light backcountry Nordic tour. Hunter Ranch trail offers spectacular views of the central Teton range on clear days. This easy classic cross-country ski trail passes through a historic ranch and ascends into aspen forests on the gentle slopes of the Gros Ventre mountains.
We love to hear and see where you have been! Go for a ski and send us an email at trailconditions@jhnordic.com. Tell us a little about your route, what type of skis you skied on and send along a photo. Maybe your great ski today will be someone else’s adventure tomorrow.

Things to do this spring

Volunteer!
Friends of the BTNF are recruiting a volunteer ambassador to work with district recreation staff to provide info and education to the public, in the Teton Pass, Fall Creek, and Mosquito Creek areas. More info.
Or email Margo F.

Be a good steward!
Stash an extra empty poop bag or two along with some latex gloves in a ski pocket and grab a poop bag as the snow melts and exposes forgotten bags.

Is there someplace you have been thinking of skiing, but haven’t gotten there yet? Make it happen. Or look up trail ideas on the trail search page, explore someplace new and share your trip report
