Happy Ski Moment!

From Abby Warner, JH Nordic Executive Director

Happy Ski Moment this week was getting out on the track at Teton Pines!

It started with meeting the nicest Nordic enthusiasts on the patio, they felt like kindred spirits after five minutes. As I was zipping around the little loops and pushing over what must be important golf course features in the summer, I thought

“this is a great place to go for days when you really want to ski with someone who is not your same pace or energy level that day.”

There are all of these little splits where you can choose to go up and over a short burst of a hill or curve around it. And there are a bunch of small loops that would be perfect for the faster skier to lap to get their ya-ya’s out and then rejoin their ski partner up the trail. A way to be together on the track while also skiing differently. I did not see the moose but I was warmly greeted by Cody and Stuart in the shop. Teton Pines is open to the public and grooming is planned through March 22.

Here are some basic wax tips to take at the end of the season that you will be grateful for come early winter. It’s a good practice to give your bases a good cleaning after skiing in… Read More
