Support Grooming in GTNP
Grand Teton National Park Foundation began grooming the Teton Park Road last week. We need your help to provide this experience to visitors through mid-March. Support grooming in Grand Teton TODAY.
This winter marks the seventh consecutive year that Grand Teton National Park Foundation has funded regular grooming of the Teton Park Road between the Taggart Lake and Signal Mountain trailheads.
The goal is to groom three days a week—weather depending—through mid-March. We have $15,000 left to raise to make this a reality.
Donate today to ensure that you and all park visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the magic of Grand Teton National Park this season.
Thank you and happy holidays!

Nordic X!
The Nordic X course is officially open, and while it is a bit rough in this version 1.1, the virgin topography will do nothing but add one more dimension to your Nordic challenge as you master this perfidious skinny ski experience. Be careful, but check it out if that is your thing.
If your thing tends towards more august adventures, there are over 15 kilometers if freshly groomed trails for you as well, those adventures being enhanced just today with the application of lots of Pisten Bully grooming. Today’s grooming was a bit of a mixed bag with PB visits to most every trail with either best line skate grooming or resetting of classic tracks depending on what was the highest priority. Stable weather has resulted in all in all good skiing wherever you go.
It is a bit on the invigorating side this morning with the 11 AM temperature being -18ºC/-4ºF although the wind is calm and it is mostly sunny although with a high thin overcast. If forecasts hold for an inch or so in days to come we could see some amazing conditions.
One final note, a respectable bull moose showed up today who seemed to be a bit on the cranky side. If you see him, you might want to give him some extra space until he settles into the winter routine.
Groomer’s choice for today is to check out the Nordic X at your speed.

All trails are open and skiing should be great through Wednesday. Early season conditions and occasional soft spots will continue to persist until more snow accumulates. Classic tracks will likely be set by this Wednesday or Thursday, as we’ll be continuing to compact and harvest snow onto the trails in the meantime. Also, the sled hill and snowshoeing areas are now open, which will both be on the soft side due to recent snows. Enjoy!
