Trail Highlight: Lower Pasture to Mule Pasture loop

Treat yourself to the gorgeous Lower Pasture to Mule Pasture loop set in the forested hills above Turpin Meadow Ranch. Begin from the main lodge, where the road ends and the Continental Divide Trail begins. The trail offers scenic views of the Teton range down the valley to the west. This loop can be skied in either direction and is suitable for all skill levels. Leashed dogs are allowed on this trail!
Fun facts about the TRC! Did you know…
- The youngest TRC racer is 4 and the oldest is 80.
- At over 200 registered racers, Dave B thinks the TRC is in the top 5 largest classic races in the US!
- TRC organizers ordered 26 gallons of soup.

Racing the Teton Ridge Classic?

Forecast/Conditions: Friday overnight low of 19 with chance of 1-2” of new snow. Saturday temperature at start low 20’s with a high of 24 and 80% chance of 1” of new snow. Expect cold dry snow conditions with minimal glazing on a moderately firm machine groomed track.
Glidewax: Apply BP Blue Hot Wax, scrape and brush, then apply HP Blue Hot Wax, scrape and brush.
Gripwax: Roughen base with 150 grit sandpaper, iron in Nordic Base Wax Green, cork smooth, let cool. Then apply 3-4 alternating layers of Nordic GripWax Red, and Nordic Grip Wax Blue, corking smooth between layers and finishing with Blue.
Structure: A fine structure covered by one pass with the Blue Structurite tool after scraping and brushing the final Hot Wax will best suit these conditions.

Be sure to pre-register to walk through the fast lane at the welcome tent and get straight to the fun! Those not pre-registered will need to complete the online form in line at the venue.
Other tips for a great day
- Temps are forecast to be mid-teens to low-20’s, lovely for being active outside. Bring plenty of layers for strolling through the partner booths and chatting.
- Bring your credit card for buying raffle tickets – we will be using dip jars and have amazing gear and experiences in the raffle!
- Remember demo gear is limited time use, and can be in high demand. If you have gear, bring it. If you are planning to use demos skis for activity or lesson, plan at least 30 minutes to get fitted.
- Online schedule will be updated by noon – secure your spot for a lesson by emailing hello@jhnordic.com by Saturday 6 pm.
