Can’t get enough of winter? Our answer: Spring dream skiing! We will be crust cruising through high alpine meadows beneath towering volcanic cliffs climbing and descending through unparalleled rolling terrain! No passport needed for this epic adventure on the continental divide of Wyoming.

Veteran coaches and guides, Scotty McGee, Virgia Bryan and Zeke Fashingbauer (see bios below), will guide you through the breathtaking and wild Togwotee Pass area during this spring cross country skiing adventure camp. Using skate, classic and adventure touring gear. Expand your skiing skills and become a more savvy backcountry traveler.

Daily routes will vary in length from 4-15 miles, with skill, fitness, conditions and ambition. We can accommodate more skill levels with more participants, so spread the word and invite your friends!

Routes will avoid avalanche terrain, until stability is extremely high, as it often is in spring melt-freeze conditions.

Curriculum includes:

  • Light touring travel, and ultralight speed travel when crust conditions allow
  • Route selection, navigation, and route finding skills to inform your future adventuring
  • Uphill and downhill ski techniques
  • Snow whispering and the art of Equipment selection and preparation
  • Dressing for success, and carrying enough – but not too much
  • Challenges and benefits of altitude training
