Turpin Meadow Ranch is groomed and open!

Update from Elee Deschu, TMR Snow Angel

The team at Turpin Meadow Ranch has been working hard to prepare for our opening day today, December 20. Grooming equipment has been making many laps on the ski trails, the pisten bully has been out, however it’s too early for it to work the hills daily. There has been a lot of sweat equity put in as well, with the snowmen filling in gaps in the trails by hand.

Trail conditions are still early season, there is some vegetation poking out in a few places, variable trail conditions, and the classic track is not consistent throughout the whole trail network. Our fat bike/snowshoe trails are firm and fun!

Trails aside, we all know it is the people that make Turpin Meadow Ranch a special place, from our dedicated staff to our loyal guests. So while early season conditions persist on the trails, you know you’ll come up to the ranch and be greeted by a friendly smile and be surrounded by folks who are happy to be there.

We encourage y’all to come up and enjoy the place and the people. We’ve got all of the human powered winter recreational equipment available for rent as well as lessons and tours. Check-in is at 4pm for those staying at the ranch and our first lunch service will be Saturday. We can’t wait to see you up here! More info on rates and rentals here!

Shooting Star trails open today!

Update from Tyler Shrum, Manager:

All the trails on the Nordic Course and Sled Hill will be open today, December 20th. Early season conditions persist, so please ski with caution as skiers may encounter rough sections and exposed areas. Also, no classic tracks will be set until snow depths increase. Reminder that only Nordic skiing is permitted on the trails and walking, snowshoeing, biking, running, etc. are not allowed. At this time, we plan on grooming daily, but this might vary to preserve our thin snow base.

We will no longer be offering daily trail passes, rentals, or lessons to the public.

These amenities are available for season passholders and Shooting Star members. Everyone is welcome and eligible to purchase a season pass!
