Daily Trail Report for 2.13.26.
Exploring Hunter Hereford Ranch trail on cross-country touring skis in Wednesday’s new snow.

Community trail report: The Wild Country
Who would guess that one can find deep powdery snow on one of the valley’s most beautiful Nordic loops this week! Such was the case Wednesday on a 6.2 mile loop to the Hunter Hereford Ranch near Kelly, Wyoming. Past the ranch we wound around the snowy trees and up to the ridge for a panoramic view (when flurries were not ferocious), culminating in a beautiful ski down the slopes. Spectacular and or a spectacle ;-).
Although film cameras were not present on our tour, one could envision them at the ranch filming some popular Western films including The Wild Country – which seems quite fitting!
Curious? Read more about the Hunter Hereford Ranch here. And for a little cinematic history, here is the trailer to The Wild Country.

Groomer Updates
Shooting Star
Wednesday’s sleeper snowstorm gave us about 6+” of dry fluff and helped us get back to normal grooming operations with our snowmobile. All trails will be groomed, except for the ranch section, and no classic track set due to thin snow. Warmer temps are expected this afternoon and through the weekend, but this new snow should help keep trails skiable until next week’s forecasted snow cycle begins. Next update will be Monday, February 16th. Enjoy!
Trail Creek
Trail Creek received over a foot between Wednesday’s and Thursday’s groom. The Moose Chase course was the primary objective of Thursday’s grooming with the Husky making multiple laps around the entire course. Regular full trail system grooming will resume Sunday. Groomer’s Choice: the Moose Chase course. Come ski Saturday with your fellow moose-mates.
Game Creek and Emily’s Pond / Levee
TCP|R plans to groom Emily’s Pond / Snake River Levee and Game Creek Friday morning after a long hiatus with insufficient snow.
TVTAP
New snow Wednesday allowed for some additional rolling and packing to bring melting out spots back towards skiable condition at Teton Reserve, Southern Valley and Centennial. The Southern Valley Singletrack did not receive enough to groom. Please check the notes field for each trail for the most current conditions.
Teton Pines
The Pines received 12” plus in the last storm cycle. There has been quite a bit of settling but the track is once again fully groomed! Skiing should be good all the way through the weekend.
Go have fun on your skis, snowshoes, fat bike or feet!
