Fall is here, Snow on the Peaks!
Indian summer, with its golden aspens and cottonwoods, red hawthorns and mountain ash, warm days, cool nights, early frosts… has the JH Nordic Alliance busy planning ahead for Nordic ski, fat biking, snowshoeing , back- country nordic tours, winter trail prep, events, new skis, bikes, winter gear, and more. We get excited when snow begins to dust the high peaks!
Fall is a spectacular time to be in Jackson Hole and the greater Tetons. Ski fitness classes, road, mountain bike, and gravel riding before the snow, trail running, fly fishing and more are getting us in shape for winter.
Mark your calendar with key events below, and check out JHNordic.com/Events/ for more.
Elk Rut in the Parks
It’s a spectacle which occurs just once a year. Antlered giants emerge from dark timber and announce their dominance with a loud bugling call. The fall elk rut is here, offering wildlife enthusiasts an unparalleled opportunity to view this amazing behavior beneath the rugged peaks of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
