Daily Trail Report for 2.25.26.
Another round of interesting weather. Wednesday may be a good day to wax your skis, make a giant batch of soup, or do your taxes… Could be a little damp in the valley bottoms for winter trail activities. But as the old saying goes, there is a no bad weather, only bad layers. There is are plenty of places to get out and ski.
If you are headed out on trail, bring a scraper and some skin glide if you have skinned skis. And appropriate layers for changing conditions of course.
If you are headed out to a track, check the groomer updates and then be responsive to existing conditions. A little bit of rain can make a track super fun and fast. A lot of rain can both make it a struggle to ski and can wreak havoc on the track itself.

General Weather – variable by elevation
In the snow graph below, the blue snow bar is estimate for 9000 feet. Overnight low temperatures in the valleys are favorable for snow as we move through the week. See the full forecast at Mountain Weather.
From the Mountain Weather snow chart: As you go further north into Grand Teton National Park (Moran, Colter Bay & South Gate of Yellowstone), expect much more snow than what is forecasted here. Mountain snowfall will vary widely by elevation & location, depending on favored flow directions & wind redistribution.
