You may have seen these free Trailhead Cross Country Ski Guide from Skinny Skis all over town.
In there you’ll find pretty valuable resources on recommended cross-country ski trails in Jackson, tour guides, where to snag some gear and tips on what to pack to make your day trip just a little more comfortable and prepared.

Some essentials we all can’t do without in a medium-sized day pack:

  • Water
  • Food
  • Headlamp (be sure to check your battery life)
  • First aid kit
  • Sunglasses
  • Extra layers (buff or facemask, wool beanie, gloves, puffy coat)
  • Matches or Lighter
  • Hand warmers
  • Cell phone
  • Map

Since the weather in Jackson Hole can sometimes sneak up on us, it’s better to be prepared with the essentials. Ready with layers is just smart packing and if you get hot just peel that layer off and throw it in your day pack.

Remember: Always tell someone where you are going. It’s just smart trip planning. Explore some of places on JHNordic’s trail search engine to narrow down your scope on terrain, length of the trip, dog-friendly, elevation gain, you name it we’ve thought of it.

When you’ve wrapped up your day trip, we’d love if you shared with us by using the hashtag: #JHNordic or if you emailed us at info@jhnordic.com we can share your photo in our next Trail Report email.
