Pick up the groomed trail in Teton Village anywhere along McCollister Drive east of Cody Drive, or from the east side of the main tram parking lot. Note that parking lots in Teton Village charge a fee until 3 pm (Free in the Ranch lot after 1 pm).
Description:
Teton Village Association sponsored, multi-use groomed winter trail from the heart of Teton Village north to the end of the bike path (just south of the Grand Teton National Park south entrance) and south to the Lake Creek bridge along Hwy 390 (the Moose-Wilson road). The trail is open to Nordic skiers, fat bikers, runners, walkers, and dogs on leash.
Parking: Parking lots in Teton Village charge a fee until 3 pm (Free in the Ranch lot after 1 pm).
Skiing Experience: Multi-use groomed winter trail suitable for Nordic skiers, fat bikers, runners, walkers, and dogs on leash.
Winter Grooming: Grooming is planned for 3 days/week. Stay tuned for grooming days via jhnordic.com/grooming and Daily Trail Reports.
Dog Owners: Dogs are allowed on this trail they just need to be leashed.
Directions:
Start in Teton Village anywhere along the bike path trail on the south side of McCollister Drive - beginning at the corner of Rachel Way, Cody Lane, and McCollister Drive - or east of the main tram parking lot. Head east toward Hwy 309 (Moose Wilson Road, and choose your direction - north runs for approx 1 mile, and south goes for 2.5 miles (or longer once you pass the Lake Creek Bridge). Look for elk in the woods on both sides of the highway in this stretch south. Also, note that this southern section can be quite windy as the terrain is wide open as it crosses the open Snake River Ranch (known as the "windy mile").
Trail Options: Connects to the Community pathway at Lake Creek Bridge south to Stilson, allowing connectivity to Wilson and the town of Jackson via plowed pathways, providing views of Teton Village, Grand Teton National Park, and the Snake River Ranch.
