Drive north on WY Hwy 89 from Jackson to Moose. Take the Inner Grand Teton National Park road 3 miles north past the GTNP Entrance (bring your pass) to the Taggart Lake Trailhead parking. Note: the road is plowed up to this point.
Description:
The trail to the Lucas-Fabian Cabins is an easy and scenic route suitable for cross-country skiers and snowshoers. The historic cabins are located 300 yards off the groomed Teton Park road trail, about 2 miles from the Taggart trailhead, offering stunning views of the Grand Teton on clear days.
Parking: Taggart Lake Trailhead parking
Skiing Experience: The trail is groomed and suitable for both classic and skate skiing, though the final 300 yards to the cabins are on a non-groomed, skier-tracked trail, which can be slippery for skate skis.
Winter Grooming: The trail is groomed up to the point where it diverges to the cabins. The last 300 yards are on a non-groomed skier track.
Dog Owners: Dogs are not allowed on this trail that is located within the vicinity of Grand Teton National Park.

Directions:
Beginnings: Start at the Taggart trailhead and ski north for 2 miles on the groomed Teton Park road.
Views: Enjoy stunning views of the Grand Teton along the trail and at the Lucas-Fabian Cabins.
Extended Exploration: From the cabins, you can either return the same way or extend your tour by heading north towards Jenny Lake.
Return: Return to the Teton Park road groomed trail and either head back to the Taggart trailhead or continue north towards Jenny Lake.
Trail Options: Alternatively, from the Lucas cabin, take the skier-tracked trail heading south across an open meadow, entering the woods, and following Cottonwood Creek's west shore south to rejoin the Teton Park Road groomed trail just south of the bridge.
