Directions:
Beginnings: Start at the Ranch historic museum. Head north on the snow-covered inner ranch road to the redwood house on the right (east). The trail begins on the slope behind the red house.
Uphill Stretch: Begin with a short initial climb out of the ranch base. The trail follows the contour of the plateau, gaining altitude slightly in the open sagebrush before entering a conifer forest and climbing gently.
Views: The trail offers breathtaking views of the Tetons, especially on clear days. At the plateau, the views open up to 180 degrees from south to north.
Return: After the downhill section through the woods, the trail splits. Take the trail to the left, rounding the edge of the woods to the southwest, and return to the northern end of the Ranch buildings. Cross the inner ranch parking area to the trailhead.
