Trail Creek Nordic
Last Updated: 12/12
Serene Snowfall!
While you probably won’t set any speed records on your Nordic outing at Trail Creek today, if you are lucky enough to make it out you’ll be able to experience one of our astounding winter snowfalls; cruising through the silent woods as the heavy snow gently drifts earthward, painting a picture of pure winter bliss. A little speed for the pure euphoria of lots of fresh snow is a pretty fair trade.
Since yesterday’s grooming we’ve received 6-12 inches of fresh snow with current conditions being calm, moderate to heavy snowfall, and a 10:30 temperature of -2ºC/29ºF. Today’s grooming was double Pisten Bully passes with classic tracks on the close field, Armin’s, and Animal Farm. A couple of inches has fallen since grooming began and will most likely continue to fall so skaters will definitely be getting a good workout if they wait until late in the day for their workout although classic skiers should have fun no matter what.
The current storm looks to run out of steam sometime Saturday with total additional accumulation in the foot plus range. Look for Universal classic tracks by early next week.
Groomer’s choice for today is Animal Farm.
