Grooming Updates

Trail Creek Nordic

The International Spring Series races are being hosted at Trail Creek this weekend. Race grooming will happen in the evenings, with a last system wide grooming either Sunday evening or Monday morning depending on how the forecast develops.

Shooting Star

Spring skiing conditions will continue through this weekend as warmer weather is expected through Sunday. Reminder, that conditions may be icy during the morning hours and then gradually soften as temperatures warm. Outlook is calling for winter to return!

Teton Valley

When you read the grooming report this week, you will notice we have completed grooming for the season at Sherman Park, Driggs, and Teton Reserve tracks. At our other locations we will continue to try and groom when temperatures and conditions allow, for as long as possible. The grooming report will be the best place to see what’s been groomed and what the outlook is. It will be our hope to continue grooming Teton Canyon and Southern Valley Nordic into April.

Spring Nordic Camps with Peak Performance

Warmer weather does not necessarily mean that your skiing has to come to an end, in fact there are some pretty neat opportunities to adventure ski all the way into May!

April 24-27
Serenity XC Ski Camp
Mindfulness meditation, nature-based coaching

Apr 29-May 2 Corn Camp – Skate ski crust cruising and Adventure XC Skiing

May 8-11 Adventure Cross Country Ski Guide Course

Heads up, Granite Creek Road users!

Two sections of Granite Creek Road are partially blocked due to large boulders that have fallen from the hillside. Snowmobiles, ski-steered, and tracked over-the-snow vehicles can still pass, and Nordic users are unaffected.

Boulder removal is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Certified blasters will clear the debris, requiring a temporary road closure for about an hour—a half-mile in both directions.

What to expect:

  •  Signage and flaggers will be in place
  •  Closure time TBD, but BTNF will keep you updated
  •  Alerts will be posted on Bridger-Teton National Forest’s Facebook and their website

Everyday

Morning walks across hard frozen snow are a great way to get out on winter trails. As the day warms up, pay attention and turn towards home before you start leaving big sunken prints.
