Teton County Parks and Rec Grooming
A quick note: Parks & Rec will not be able to groom with the Pistenbully because of mechanical issues with their trailer used to haul the Pistenbully around. Until this issue is resolved they will only able to groom with the snowmobile and roller. We will update you when the trailer is repaired and they’re back to regularly scheduled grooming with the Pistenbully.

All ability levels, ages 8 and up, guided tour with stops.
Suggested donation of $5/adult (plus park entrance fee: show annual pass or $10/vehicle/day)

Amazing Moonset!
If your daily Nordic ski was early morning today you got to witness an amazing moonset with the slightly waning, but nearly full moon making a spectacular exit to the west. If the sky is clear tomorrow it still should be a great show.
Speaking of great shows, if you have time to come on out to Trail Creek today you can make yourself the star of your very own Nordic ski show. Trails are perhaps just a bit soft yet, but all things considered conditions can be pretty much called fantastic. Today’s grooming was a total rework of the fields complete with fresh double classic tracks. The woods trails set yesterday received skate grooming and all major National Forest trails received double Pisten Bully passes with fresh classic tracks.
As of 1 PM the sky was still sunny, the temperature -8ºC/18ºF, and the wind calm. If you have time to make it out yet today it could be a top 10 day.

Grand Targhee Grooming Report

Did you know that Grand Targhee’s grooming team works all through the night into the
morning? When skies are clear, you can see them zooming around in their Cats all the way from the valley! Because of this, some runs are listed as groomed in the PM, while others are listed as groomed in the AM. Here’s what to expect from each:
• Groomed AM: soft, fresh corduroy that may have an inch or so on top – smaller skis will do just fine on these and you won’t have a problem working those edges.
• Groomed PM: (a favorite on a day like today) soft and flat underneath, with about 3-4″ on top, making for smooth surf like turns over a great base.
Cross Country/Fat Bike 15k: XC OPEN (Last groomed AM 1/20/2019, No Classic), Fat Bike CLOSED.
Pinedale Nordic Trail Report

Half Moon Tie-In, Kelly Park, Kelly Tie-In, Upper & Lower Surveyor, Tree Loop, Moose Ridge, and Old Road Trail all groomed this morning. About 7 inches of new snow from yesterday and last night. The road and parking lot are plowed. The sun is shining – looks like it’s going to be a nice day.
