Daily Trail Report for 1.18.26.
Do you ever feel like the days on the calendar are moving at a crushing pace? Sometimes we all need a breath of fresh air to put things in perspective. Being out on winter trails allows you to focus on the cadence of your breath and the magic of moving across the snow. Having awareness of rhythm and the beauty of the space you are traveling through takes your mind away from current stresses and puts you in the present moment which is a great way to renew and reset.

General Weather – Clear and calm
We are in a firm weather pattern of sunny days and clear nights. Mountain Weather shows this pattern continuing well into the week so grab a ballcap, sunscreen, and whatever you like to have on your feet to travel across snow because it is blue bird out there!

What’s Groomed Today?
Planned Sunday Grooming
Daily grooming
Keep in mind that groomers will make the call on preserving snow, number of skiers since the last groom, overall conditions, etc. With these blue days and cold nights, the tracks are likely good even if they are more than 24 hours out from their last groom.
If super firm snow is not your preferred surface wait for the late morning or early afternoon when temps warm and snow conditions soften.
Check the grooming page – while we are getting closer to regular grooming, we are not there yet. We do our best to bring you the full story every morning, and the most current trail conditions can be viewed online at: www.jhnordic.com/grooming/
Oh the places you could go

It’s Sunday and the sun is shining. Glistening snow covers the ground, trails are in good condition and the snowpack off trail is inviting exploration. Classic skiing at it’s finest!
For the last 2 decades the Teton Ridge Classic (TRC) has been one of the premier classic events in the region. Last year we moved to a new venue that is perfect for classic skiing. The start and finish are on a private ranch where we can all gather post-race to swap stories, refuel, and hand out awards.
For 2026 we have a kids 1/2km and 2km. There are also 8km, 14km, and 28km distances. Course maps
