Teton County Parks and Rec Grooming

A quick note: Parks & Rec will not be able to groom with the Pistenbully because of mechanical issues with their trailer used to haul the Pistenbully around.  Until this issue is resolved they will only able to groom with the snowmobile and roller.  We will update you when the trailer is repaired and they’re back to regularly scheduled grooming with the Pistenbully.

Trail Creek Report

Last Updated: 1/23 @ 1pm

Regular Customer!

This fast skier who is regularly seen cruising the trails at Trail Creek wasn’t afraid of a little snow today as he donned his skate skis for an energetic tour of the woods.  Fresh snow or not, there is still plenty of time for you to have your own great Nordic ski today.

The snow has continued to fall this morning at Trail Creek with about 6 inches by 1 PM.  There is also a gentle breeze with a temperature of -9ºC/15ºF.  Today’s practice schedule is very busy with all teams on board and the older skier’s venue calling for distance classic skiing. Therefore today’s grooming began with a rework of all the stadium areas followed by a skate/classic pass of all trails with the Pisten Bully.  The roller was also called to duty for an additional pass to give skaters a little more room.

While conditions are a little soft, it’s another beautiful day for a ski in the Trail Creek neighborhood.

Groomer’s choice for today is Woolsey Woods

Turpin Meadow Ranch Grooming Report
Last Updated: 1/23 @ 5pm

With all of this snow our groomers will be working overtime to keep up so please come enjoy the fruits of their labor! It is storm skiing, great for classic and snowshoes, we were even getting some face shots on our way down the hills. We recommend the “way back 40” trail, you’ll have more protection back there.

5:50am: Once again I can only groom with the snowmobile and roller today. I am going to wait to do Cache until we get more snow. With my equipment I will do no good there since it was groomed Monday and it is firm. Heading to Game now. It will be soft and no classic track
10:00am: Wayne May Park, Game Creek, and Three Creek were rolled with the snowmobile today. I did not do Cache Creek because it was just done on Monday and my equipment would have made the conditions worse. As of now there is only an inch of fresh snow over the fresh corduroy
