Thanksgiving Week
For many Jackson Hole -Teton Valley Nordic skiers, the first opportunity to get on groomed snow-covered trails is during the Annual West Yellowstone Rendezvous Ski Festival. Youth Ski Cubs, Masters, enthusiasts from across the West ( and even midwest!) descent on West Yellowstone beginning Tuesday Nov 20th- Saturday Nov 24th. Come for a day, 2 days or all week. The town is full of Nordic skiers, a full program of training, clinics , groomed trail, watch the biathlon teams train… Close to Jackson Hole (2 hours drive). Be sure to book your hotel early. The 16th annual Teton Ridge Classic presented by Madshus will be held on January 12th, 2019. This year’s race and future races will take place up at Grand Targhee Resort. The Teton Ridge Ranch informed race organizers this summer that there will be no public access on the Teton Ridge Ranch property at any time. This came as a surprise to us and disappointing news that we have all skied our last days at the Teton Ridge Ranch.
However, we are fortunate to have run the race up at Targhee last year to show many of you the future Teton Ridge Classic course. If you did not have a chance to participate in last years race the course and venue was well received by participants. There will not be any major changes to the course that was run for the 2018 race.
The website has been updated with information for this year’s race and the registration is open. Register by December 15th for the early registration discount.
