The Jackson Hole Nordic Alliance and partners are thrilled to host our 7th Annual Free Ski, Fat Bike and Snowshoe Day at Turpin Meadow Ranch on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Astounding scenic views, an amazing community of athletes and locals and winter sports all come together to make our annual event in Moran fun for everyone. Get your blood pumping with family and friends at what has become a favorite community tradition for winter recreation in the Greater Teton Area.

We love seeing the community come out together. Bring your family, friends, visitors, dogs (on leash) and enjoy this annual event that is provided free of charge thanks by our generous alliance members and community sponsors.

Tips for making the day great

  • This is a 100% outside event. Bring layers for changing weather conditions. Current forecast for calm conditions and 20 degrees by afternoon.
  • Bring your own skis and fat bikes to explore a little or a lot of the Turpin Meadow trails. Demos are limited use to help spread the fun for all.
  • Plan 30+ min to get demo gear if you need it for a lesson.
  • Dogs are welcome on leash near the lodge and under voice command on the trails. Dog waste bins are available in the venue and at the trailhead.
  • The restaurant and bar in the main lodge are open for service.
  • Come with a friend! Go to the JH Nordic Skier’s Facebook group to coordinate rides, carpooling encouraged.
  • Take the shuttle. Teton Science Schools is providing a shuttle from the Home Ranch parking lot, departing at 9:00 AM and returning at 2:45 PM. Reserve your spot by emailing: hello@jhnordic.com
