Just Go Ski!
A sunny January day in Wyoming, what better thing to do than grab your skis and head on out for a great time on the snow! Yesterday a big group including many of our regulars had a great time over the hill at the Teton Ridge Classic; you can check out the results here.
Today at Trail Creek that same brilliant sun is beaming down on our Nordic trail network. While that sun is not doing much to raise the temperature yet with noon conditions of calm and -15ºC/5ºF, it really doesn’t feel too bad. Today’s grooming was a total rework of the fields including fresh double classic tracks and a Pisten Bully best line skate pass through all woods trails. All in all skiing conditions are really nice today.
Groomer’s choice for today is the sunny East Fields.

If a picture is worth a thousand words this one speaks for itself: “the trails are in prime condition, just like the weather we’ve been having!” The road conditions from town are clear and dry so no excuses not to come up… play hookie if you have to, it’s worth it!

Sunday: Plan to reset skate track this morning. Don’t think I can improve the classic track, as some of our better equipment is up at Tsrghee for the race.. Both classic tracks were set on Friday, and are still in decent shape. Skating has been quite nice, cold night’s and sunny ,dry fays. Finish grooming by 930am.

Roller groomed the additional 4-5 inches that fell last night on the skate track. I left the classic track untouched, which may not look the prettiest, but will perform just fine. Overall the course is in pretty darn good shape. Happy skiing!
