Teton County Search and Rescue – WYSAW (Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop)
Registration for the 10th Annual Wyoming Snow & Avalanche Workshop is now open.
In its 10th year, WYSAW promises a full lineup of speakers who will address the issue of backcountry safety by elevating conversations about risk, decision-making, and snow as a complicated medium. The two-day symposium, long regarded for its proactive approach to winter backcountry safety, is scheduled for October 18-19 at the Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson.
Welcome to all levels of backcountry users, including the motorized community, WYSAW is the perfect opportunity to learn from some of the best and brightest minds in the snow safety space—and to help our community dust off the summer cobwebs before the snow flies.
Register before October 8 and save $10 on admission. Children 18 and under get in for free.
- October 18, 12 pm-4:30 pm: Pro Session, where speakers tailor their presentations to professionals in the field.
- October 19, 9 am-4:30 pm: General Session, with speakers delivering on topics relevant to all levels of winter backcountry recreation. A vendor fair in the Center lobby features community and winter brands to keep you in the know.
All Saturday attendees get a free burrito from Pica’s. Plus, those 21 and older get a free beer from Roadhouse Brewing Co. with proof of registration. A massive raffle featuring prizes from top winter brands supports TCSAR volunteers.
The conversation continues with the American Avalanche Association throwing an after party at the Snake River Brew Pub. With so much going on at this 10th Annual WYSAW… Don’t. Miss. Out!
Please join us to continue this decade of commitment to snow safety.
