From Jackson, drive north on Hwy 89 to Moran Junction. Turn right onto Hwy 287/26 toward Togwotee Pass. After 3.4 miles, turn left onto Buffalo Valley Road, then 10 miles to Turpin Meadow Ranch (end of the plowed road) – a total of 44 miles from Jackson Town Square one way.

Description:

Turpin Meadow Ranch Nordic groomed trails offer a cozy and rustic Nordic experience, consisting of 7 connected loops. Situated around the core of the Ranch on the edge of Buffalo Fork Creek in northern Jackson Hole, and the west side of Togwotee Pass, this destination is a winter trail getaway worth the travel. Open to both day and overnight guests, Turpin Meadow Ranch provides a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, where visitors can enjoy excellent dining options served in the newly renovated historic ranch lodge by an experienced chef. Additionally, the ranch offers dog-friendly accommodations and a variety of Nordic equipment rentals, tours, and lessons, making it feel like your own Nordic lodge in the wilderness.

Skiing Experience: The trails offer varying difficulty levels suitable for different skiing experiences, from beginners to advanced skiers.

Directions: At Turpin Meadow Ranch Nordic groomed trails, skiers can explore a variety of groomed trail loops, ranging in length from shorter options like the Lodge and Cabin Loop (0.53 miles) to longer ones such as the Summer Homes loop (3.13 miles) which goes north around the full Turpin Meadow and creek. Additionally, there are loops like the Willows Loop (1.2 miles) and the Riverside Loop (1.66 miles plus an additional 0.8 miles on the access road for an out-and-back experience). The Lower Pasture and Mule Pasture Loops are combined into a separate trail in JHNordic, offering either a 3.2-mile perimeter loop or a longer 5.5-mile option including connector trails. Winter Grooming: TMR regularly maintains the groomed trails with its own on-site grooming equipment, offering both skate and classic skiing options and snowshoeing into the surrounding Bridger Teton National Forest.
