Community trail report: Fun, Functional and Fashionable
We had lots of fun this week oohing and awwing at the variety of fun fashions on our local Nordic slopes. Not only were the skiers dressed to the nines, but their furry friends were out in force, complete with full snow suits and matching booties. And as one parent pointed out, she was getting an extra workout with her fun-loving load.
It inspired the rest of us to up our game a bit and we visited our local outdoor stores – all of which are hosting President’s Week sales!
Skiers and snowshoers – dogs are welcome on the Grand Targhee Nordic Trails, please pick up your dog pass online, at Habitat in Driggs as you head up so you can go straight from parking to skiing, or at the Activity Center on the main plaza.

Trail Creek Nordic: Lollipopper Olympics!
Embodying the spirit of Nordic – too good not to re-post! Thanks JHSC and Trail Creek.
Trail Creek received over a foot between Wednesday’s and Thursday’s groom. The Moose Chase course was the primary objective of Thursday’s grooming with the Husky making multiple laps around the entire course. Regular full trail system grooming will resume Sunday. Groomer’s Choice: the Moose Chase course. Come ski Saturday with your fellow moose-mates.
Stilson – TCP|R
Stilson was groomed Thursday! TCP|R put down fresh corduroy and a classic track. Coverage is thin but the skiing is in.
Go have fun on your skis, snowshoes, fat bike or feet!

Tuesday Night Nordic
A biweekly community XC ski race series for skiers of any ability.
February 24th at Teton Reserves and March 10th at Grand Targhee. Races start at 5:45 pm.
Skate or classic, all ages welcome.

Nordic Nights – Skate Lessons
The first of three skate sessions are slated to begin Tuesday, Feb 24 at Stilson, and run at 4:30p
As is likely readily apparent, the Peak Performance team will keep assessing conditions and update as needed.
Meeting spot is at the west end of Stilson parking, near the (old) Transit Ctr Building.

Come be a part of the American Ski Marathon Series—North America’s longest-running and largest citizen’s racing and touring series, highlighting long distance ski events throughout the country. March 7, 2026.
And it is in our backyard on some phenomenal trails with excellent grooming.
