Jackson Hole Nordic Recreational Masters Clinics

Hosted by Masters Coach Scott Horn and Jackson Hole Ski Club Nordic team coaches, the clinics are back for Season 3! There will be 8 clinics every other week from 11am-12:30pm. Starting on this Thursday, December 10th and continuing until March 18th, the clinics will alternate between skate skiing and classic cross-country.

Sign up for the full series and receive the latest JH Nordic buff. Or, you can attend on a drop-in basis and touch on the specific skills that suit you.

Work on your technique and form with professional tips and exercises from USSA certified coaches. Stay and ski all day with your clinic ski pass at Teton Pines Nordic center. There will be two coaches and 2 small groups per clinic, and plenty of outdoor space to stay socially distanced. Meet local nordic skiers, bring your friends and family.

We ask that everyone wear a mask or double buff and to be cognizant of their impact on others.

Racing is On!
Well, more or less.  As you undoubtedly are aware, we are living in a pandemic which means many things are not quite the way they used to be.  However, it does appear is if we are going forward with a limited race schedule that is actually going to end up with 6 major events here at Trail Creek.

Looks like an exciting and busy winter.  We need to all work together, doing all that we can to ensure that we are able to pull off this full agenda.

Today’s grooming was a Pisten Bully best line skate pass of all trails with additional classic track passes in the close field and on Armin’s and Moose Loop.  The snow is firm with some grouser tracks showing through, but all in all the skiing is pretty good.

Groomer’s choice for today is Moose Loop.

Stilson has been groomed with the snowmobile this morning. With snow in the forecast I hope to begin grooming some areas next week. We don’t need much more for the Pistenbully at stilson, the levee, and cache. Everything else needs substantial snow so the snowmobile will be used

Teton Pines Nordic

Campground and Yeti’s loop received 3 passes with the Ginzu groomer and are set nicely. Both of these tracks are in good shape given these colder nighttime temperatures. Be aware of the ever increasing afternoon temperatures this coming week and plan accordingly for peak skate and classic conditions. The mid-afternoon snow can get very soft in sunlit areas.
