The Snowy Cabin Edition!  2017 or 2019?

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s turned into a big snow winter here at Trail Creek and it is finally time for the “Annual Snowy Cabin Edition”.  The big question is which winter has been bigger, 2017 or 2019?  Email The Groomer if you want to vote.  See all the higher resolution pictures below; one interesting phenomenon this winter is that the snow has been accumulating in a kind of a mushroom cap pattern.  This has resulted in some fantastic overhangs on structures in the woods.

Speaking of all that fantastic snow, we have been once again playing catch up here today at Trail Creek.  The Pisten Bully ventured forth with somewhat positive results.  The recently groomed sections of Woolsey Woods, Homeward/Outward Bound, Moose Loop, the close field, Homesite/Suicide, and a slightly modified Black Hole/Boiler loop all received double Pisten Bully passes.  Armin’s and the East Fields also received some grooming today.  Conditions are actually coming along nicely so come on out and enjoy a great ski today.

Groomer’s choice for today is ski up and check out the snowy cabin.

8:00am: Cache Creek and Wayne May Park are groomed and in good shape. They may be a bit soft until they set up. It could take awhile since it is so warm but late morning should be great. Game Creek will not be groomed because of a high avy rating at low elevations.

Grooming Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
Last Updated: 2/27 @ 12pm
Skate: Not Set |  Classic: Not Set
The good news is that we have a lot of snow to play in this winter. The bad news is that we lost the trail. Don’t worry, we will get it back, just need a little time and some colder temperatures. Many of our trail marking stakes were buried by this last snowfall, so we can’t see where we are going. It will take us a few days to get reacquainted with the packed trail.
You can help us by skiing around one of the loops and pulling up the snow stakes so they are visible again. Sorry for the delay, we are doing all we can to keep things groomed. Stay tuned…
