Trail Creek Nordic

Last Updated: 2/15

Keep on Skiing!
It’s just another great day to keep on skiing at Trail Creek!  While there are a lot of places you can strap on a pair of Nordic skis, if you do it here today you’ll find about 15 kilometers of fresh and beautiful, if somewhat soft grooming.

As the Pisten Bully is down for a couple more days, the snow machine was very busy today.  The Ginzu initially carved in a classic track throughout the network of regular trails, followed by an additional pass widening for skaters.  Being Monday things will be busy this afternoon so the roller was hauled out to work on all those magical places where our young skiers have their adventures during their time at Trail Creek.  All of the play areas, Gut Flop, Nordic X, East Fields Woods and other out of the way places got rolled as part of today’s grooming as well.

While the younger groups will be on snow this afternoon, the IMD skiers have the day off as they were busy racing in McCall, ID over the weekend, results can be viewed here.  The upcoming event schedule includes the Alta skate race on Saturday, the Wyoming High School Championships on February 26-27, and the Western Club Champs Intermountain/Youth Championships on March 6-7.

Groomer’s choice for today is Animal Farm.

The levee and stilson are groomed and in good shape. Get out early before they are snowed in again! The school fields will be done around 10:30.

Cache Creek

Last Updated: 2/13
Groomed Cache to Noker 2 wide, hagen, sidewalk, hagen highway, river trail, and sidewalk around the trailhead.  The sidewalk between the trailhead and bridge 2 is wind hammered and not groomable right now by human power but everything else should set up nice with the colder temps tonight.

Grooming provided by Friends of Pathways.

Turpin Meadow Ranch

Last Updated: 2/12
Lots of new snow overnight, probably around 4 inches. So the trails will be very soft today, and some flat light conditions on the flat sections. The snow is still coming down fairly heavily so it will look like we haven’t groomed today in just another few hours! If you’re new to skiing or wanting to refine your skills, book a ski lesson with our professional ski instructor Elee (she also does guided tours)! She is a wealth of knowledge and can help take your Nordic skiing, whether it be skate or classic, to the next level! To help with social distancing and to get you on the trails faster please purchase your trail passes and sign your waivers online in advance (see link below). As always, remember to recreate responsibly. Bring a mask as it is required to enter the lodge. Lunch and dinner are both by reservation only.
